Research indicates that cannabidiol (CBD), one of the main active compounds in hemp plants, may benefit a number of health conditions, including chronic pain and insomnia. Aside from containing CBD, full-spectrum CBD specifically contains delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which can produce an intoxicatingly psychoactive “high” effect when ingested at certain levels. In comparison, broad-spectrum CBD doesn’t contain THC, although it does contain additional active compounds found in the hemp plant. CBD isolate, on the other hand, contains CBD exclusively.
