A misty mountain hop will bring you to Venterra Farms situated on the Central Coast of California. This temperate and lush part of the world has been long praised as a growing mecca, gifting farms upwards of 300-day growing seasons. This may be why the Central Coast produces 1/3 of America’s vegetables and a whopping 3/4 of the country’s fruit. You can now add cannabis to the list.

“We have a deep reverence for the unique beauty of California’s central coast farming region,” says Will Terry, Co-Founder of Farming First and Venterra Farms. Founded in 2019, Venterra is one farm under the Farming First umbrella of brands. Farming First is home to a sprawling 130 acres of hybrid light-dep (short for light deprivation) cannabis fields.

The 5th generation legacy family farm evolved on the Central Coast since 1890, when his great-great grandfather immigrated from Portugal.
